Why is Radha Ji Worshipped
alongside Lord Krishna? Jugal Jodi till Eternity
Here are many
devotees of Krishna who chant Radha Krishna, the names which are bound
together. We've all grown up hearing stories about Radha Krishna's love. The narrative
of Radhe Krishna made us believe in love, whether it was told to us by our
grandparents, parents, teachers, or on television shows. Their name became a
love metaphor. Do you recall the first time you learned that Radha Krishna was
never married? Did it break your heart the same way it did ours? Why didn't
they marry even though they were made for each other? What kind of love doesn't
end happily ever after?
In
this article, we share some untold facts about this beloved Jodi. To worship
the Jodi many people in our culture bought Krishna Radha Idols at home.
Decorate them to get the blessings and dress them with a similar or matching
poshak. You can check many websites online to buy Radha Krishna poshak.
To buy such poshak you can also check the site of Zariiwalaa as they have a
beautiful collection of poshak and other accessories for your deity.
Why do we take Radha's name before Krishna?
As we know whenever
we want to buy something or need something we always approach our mother first
than our father. In Hinduism people believes that God is our parents, Radha is
the power of Krishna and so she helps and gives mercy to attain Krishna. At
Vrindavan, people shared the fact that Kansa was sending demons to kill Krishna
and when Krishna found that the people of Gokul are scared and unhappy, Krishna
decided to do the battle with Kansa. When he was leaving for the battle, Radha
came to bid him farewell and Krishna promised to Radha that their love will be
memorized and their names will always be taken together. So, whenever someone
calls for Radha, Krishna himself will come to help. And if you visit a place
like Vrindavan or Mathura, you will find out that people will greet each other
by saying “Radhe, Radhe!!!”
Why is Krishna not Married to Radha, but marries
Rukmani?
Lord Krishna was Lord
Vishnu's incarnation, born to put an end to Kansa. Rukmini was the incarnation
of Goddess Lakshmi, Lord Vishnu's wife. Because they were Vishnu and Lakshmi,
Rukmini and Krishna were destined to be together. Since Rukmini is the
incarnation of Laxmi, it has never highlighted any of her accomplishments – and
for good reason: unlike Sita and Ram's births, which were intended to set examples
of an ideal wife, husband, mother, ruler, and so on, Krishna's role was to set
examples of an ideal lover, devotee, friend, guide, and guru, in addition to
establishing dharma.
To
provide an example of an ideal lover and devotee, one needs the other side of
the coin as well, and Radha is the definition of selfless love, the love that
is understood by no bounds, no age, and no community. This desire is what
attracted Krishna to play his lovely flute, and it is the same devotion that
drew Radha to the Raas Leela, forgetting about herself.
As
a result, the world worships Radha to honour the tie of love and devotion,
which is one of Gita's paths to realizing the Truth. Rukmini's incarnation as
Laxmi was supposed to be a quiet supporter, important but not unsubtle.
Radha Krishna Is One
Many legends claim
that Radha and Krishna are one. Lord Krishna's charming energy is Radha, and
how could he marry his own energy? To get married, you need two persons, but
Radha and Krishna were one soul, they were not separate from one another, and
there was no need for a marriage to show it.
We have
so many temples where this Jodi is worshipped with love and purity. One of the
most popular temples is Nidhivan which means “Treasure Forest”. People out there
have no windows at their home that faces the temple, as many say Krishna Radha
do Ras-Leela there. In the morning time, it seems like someone used the bed or
ate something. No one is allowed to see or roam around the temple at night. To
worship the god, you can visit the temple in the day time. People dress them,
stitch clothes for them, and do their shringar you can see many people
buying Radha Krishna dress online or making them
on their own.
How Radha Krishna Met for the first time?
Many legends narrate
that Vishbhanu found Radha on an effulgent lotus floating in Yamuna River.
Radha did not open her eyes since her birth, and Vishbhanu got worried about
her. He thought to organise her naming ceremony hoping that Radha will open her
eyes. At that function, Nanda baba was also invited and he came there with
Krishna. When Radha realised Krishna had arrived, she immediately opened her
eyes to admire his lovely face. That’s when they saw each other for the first
time.
One
day when Radha Krishna was in forest, they met each other coincidentally. He
had no idea who she was, yet he was pulled to her anyhow. Radha never took her
gaze away from Krishna, who was seven years old at the time. Krishna simply
existed in her eyes from that point forward, whether he was physically present
or not. "I live in him," she says intently. He is a part of me.
That's it for now. He is only with me, no matter where he is or who he is with.
He's not allowed to be anywhere else."
Radha is never separated from Lord Krishna, according to accepted facts. Lord Krishna and Radha's love was not physical, but rather spiritual and pure devotion. Lord Krishna and Radha are thus thought to be two separate expressions of the sacred principle.
